Radical Commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and to Each Other: To His Worship, His Word, and His Mission.

The most powerful gospel mission is the testimony of a converted life. The Lord Jesus took those He discipled, empowered them by the Holy Spirit, and sent them out. That's what He still does. Our first passion at Apostles is for each of us to know the Lord Jesus and, as He disciples us, to share Him with others by our lives.

We are deeply committed to this ministry which is "Changing the Inner City . . . one life at a time." We are engaged not only in financial support but in ministry with the Men's Shelter, Women's Shelter, Women's Opportunity House, and the Friday Night Mobile Kitchen Ministry. The Mission is located at 1088 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
This mission, connected to Bishop Augustin Ahimara in the Kivu Diocese of Rwanda, has two main thrusts: Mission and Action. In the past years, Apostles has sent mission trips to Rwanda. Presently we are engaged in supporting the children of Bigogwe - the poorest of the poor - and Peace Byukusenge, the Diocese Director of Operations for Bigogwe.
We join hands with Sister Valeriana, Director of Hogares Luz Y Vida, in serving 800 special needs children. We are pleased to support this work and to join in mission trips each January or February to visit and pray with these dear children. Sister Valeriana has also visited Apostles twice in the last two years.
