  • Brian murphy, rector

    Brian and his wife Tamara were born in Binghamton, NY where they met in high school. They have been married for 25 years and have four adult children - Andrew, Alex, Kendra and Natalie. He has served as Rector of Church of the Apostles since 2016. Before coming to Connecticut, he served as the Executive Pastor at Christ Church, an Anglican church in Austin (where he was also ordained into the priesthood) and the Executive Administrator at his home church in the greater Binghamton area. In his free time, he enjoys baseball (he's a Yankees fan), boating and spending time with his family who are now spread across three states - Pennsylvania, Texas and Connecticut. 

  • Jan buchanan, Deacon

    Jan has been an Anglican Deacon serving Church of the Apostles since 2015. She and her husband, Jeff, were founding members of Apostles and are active in all aspects of church life here. Jan's desire is to see the building up and maturing of the body of Christ and seeing lives transformed through intentional discipleship. Jeff and Jan have two grown daughters and live in Shelton.

  • Laura Voisine, Interim worship Coordinator

    Laura and Shawn have called Church of the Apostles their church home since getting married in June 2007. Laura has participated in the music ministry in various capacities at Apostles over the years and is excited to take on a part-time role as Interim Worship Coordinator. Her desire is to encourage all those who attend Church of the Apostles to worship our holy God fully, in all areas of life, doing "all to the glory of God" (1 Cor 10:31). Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fairfield University, but is an artist and teacher at heart. When she is not playing piano and singing, Laura is at home with her four young children: Eleanor, Charles, Louisa, and Abraham. 

  • Amy Willers, Children's Ministry Director

    Amy has a heart for children and young families, especially after becoming a stay-at-home mom for her two children, Audrey (8) and David (5). Amy led a MOPS in both Monroe and Trumbull for five years, and has published a children's book that introduces children to the grace that is available through Jesus. Amy and her husband, Ryan, have been attending Apostles since 2014 and currently live in Trumbull.

  • Jane Jackson, Office Administrator

    Jane has a heart to serve at Apostles and was a Covenant member of Apostles for four years before she started working as the Office Administrator. Jane loves the Lord and feels called to care for the congregation as well as manage the office. She loves serving in this capacity. She lives in Stratford and enjoys time with her two sons.
