To kick off the summer, we have a bonfire pit reserved at Jennings Beach in Fairfield for Monday June 9th (Fridays and Saturdays were all taken!).
We'll have another in early September to close out the summer.
Here are all the details:
Monday June 9th, 5:30-10:30pm at Jennings Beach
Jennings Beach is located at 880 South Benson Rd, Fairfield. Use beach entrance J6. The J6 walkway and fire pit are located at the far end of the Jennings Beach Parking Lot from where you enter and are past the Pavilion.
Tom & Shelli Hendrican will be our hosts. All of Apostles and any friends are welcome. No RSVP needed. Bring your own dinner and the Hendricans will supply firewood and s'mores.
Parking & Beach Rules:
- Fairfield Beach Stickers or day passes are needed for free parking.
- Daily Parking Fees, for those without a beach sticker, will be collected until 8:00pm ($40 per car for a weekday, credit card only). There will be no entrance permitted without a Fairfield Beach Sticker after 8:00pm.
- If you live outside of Fairfield and do not wish to pay the Daily Parking Fee, we suggest you ask a Fairfield resident for a ride or car pool with others to share the parking cost.
- A few Apostles folks outside of Fairfield will have day-of parking passes for the bonfire. Check with Jane the week before the bonfire (Tom & Shelli will be away then).
- In the event of rain, the event will be cancelled (there is no rain date; though a reschedule *may* be possible. but is not guaranteed).
