Serve Others
I am asking that our triads still meet regularly via Zoom or another video conferencing platform to discuss The Lord’s Prayer, encourage one another, and pray. If you would like to use the church’s Zoom account contact Jan Buchanan and she will help you get connected.
With Bridgeport Schools being closed, students who live in food insecure households are uncertain of how they will eat each day. Apostles is partnering with Hall Neighborhood House on the Eastside as they provide daycare and food for students in need. You can join us in helping meet this need by purchasing snacks from this Amazon Wishlist. The items will be shipped directly to Hall Neighborhood House.
With so many out of work, food pantries are already reporting shortages, and I am sure that Bridgeport Rescue Mission will see a spike in daily meals served and food distributed. Church of the Apostles will be making a special donation to BRM to help in this time. Join us by dropping of non-parishable food items at the mission or making a donation. You can check out news from BRM by following this link.
Invite your neighbors, family, coworkers, classmates, and strangers who may be afraid and looking for the peace that Jesus offers to join us for our live streaming services during Holy Week.
Many have asked how they can help those from if parish and those who are in financial or physical need. The best way to help out is to contribute to the Rector’s or Deacon’s Discretionary funds.
Join us on Palm Sunday, April 5 for our online hospitality time via Zoom following the morning service. If you’d like to drop by, RSVP to Jane and she’ll send you the login information.
